Examining the concept of love in Tolstoy's works (looking at the novels of family happiness, Anna Karenina, Kreutzer Sonata, Father Sergei)

Abstract :
Love and family as the foundation of human relations express the moral values necessary for society. In the second half of the 19th century, the decline of the family was emerging in Russia. Therefore, many Russian thinkers tried to analyze important categories such as love, ethics and family. Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910), one of the most prominent Russian writers and thinkers of this period, who deals with the theme of love and family. In the 1880s, he experienced a religious crisis that changed the author's view of love within the framework of Christian teachings. This article examines Tolstoy's concept of love and sexual ethics before and after the crisis by referring to library sources and descriptive-analytical method. Research findings show that Tolstoy's understanding of love and family is a reflection of Christian assumptions: love of God, love of neighbor, and sexual love that should become family. The issue of Tolstoy's "love and family" instead of "marital happiness" shows how love is transformed into a family based on morality and then destroyed by the influence of society. Criticizing the political-social structure of contemporary Russia, he emphasized the progress of morality and religion and is against physical love between men and women, because it has nothing to do with Christ's commandment in the Bible to "love one's neighbor". Tolstoy suggests that carnal love should be lost and should be turned to living according to the instructions of the Gospel.

بررسی مفهوم عشق درآثار تولستوی
(با نگاه به رمان‌های سعادت زناشویی، آناکارنینا، سونات کرویستر، پدرسرگئی)

چکیده
عشق وخانواده به عنوان پایه و اساس روابط انسانی، نشان دهنده ارزشهای اخلاقی لازم برای جامعه است. درنیمه دوم قرن نوزدهم، انحطاط خانواده در روسیه درحال ظهور بود؛ بنابراین بسیاری ازمتفکران روسی سعی کردند مقولات مهمیمانند عشق، اخلاق و خانواده را تحلیل کنند. یکی از برجستهترین نویسندگان و متفکران روسی این دوره «لئوتولستوی» (1828-1910) که به مقوله عشق وخانواده پرداخته است. او دردهه 1880 بحران مذهبی راتجربه کردکه دیدگاه نویسنده رانسبت به عشق در چارچوب آموزههای مسیحی، تغییرداد. این مقاله به بررسی مفهوم عشق واخلاق جنسی تولستوی قبل وبعدازبحران با استناد منابع کتابخانهای و روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی بررسی میشود. یافتههای پژوهش نشان میدهد درک تولستوی درمورد عشق وخانواده، بازتابی ازفرضیههای مسیحی است: عشق به خدا، عشق به همسایه و عشق جنسی، که بایدبه خانواده تبدیل شود. تولستوی مشکل«عشقوخانواده»رادر «سعادتزناشویی» نشان میدهدکه چگونه عشق برپایه اخلاق به یک خانواده تبدیل وسپس تحتتأثیر جامعه نابود میشود. او با انتقاد ازساختارسیاسی- اجتماعیروسیهمعاصر، برپیشرفت اخلاق و مذهب تاكيدکردو با عشق جسمانی بین زن و مرد مخالف است زیراهیچ وجه اشتراکی با فرمان مسیح درانجیل «عشق به همسایه» ندارد. تولستوی پیشنهاد میکند که عشق جسمانی را باید از بین برد و طبق دستورات انجیل به زندگی روی آورد.
